The Lore

In the beginning—if such a word still holds meaning—there was Nunamnir, the Giver, a celestial being broken and made fertile through betrayal, her body becoming the world now called Nu. Upon her surface crawl the descendants of divine violence: children of gods, experiments of the ancient Alverians, and hybrid abominations born of meddled design. Above, the heavens fracture under the distant, dimming gaze of Providence—the last echo of order—while beyond the veil, the Dremnae, princes of the Void, gnaw at the boundaries of existence, yearning to unmake what little light remains. Between these forces stands humanity, no longer sovereign, but livestock with memory—souls bartered upon death, their lives mere currency in a cosmic economy they cannot perceive.

Magic in Nu is not a gift, but a wound that bleeds in two directions: Providence, the dying structure of fate and divine harmony, and Doom, the inevitable entropy that corrupts all things. To wield either is to incur a cost that seeps into flesh, land, and lineage alike. The very soil remembers these debts—crimson corruption spreads where the veil has thinned, mutating forests into screaming Bone Yew and twisting beasts into grotesque echoes of their former design. Kingdoms rise upon this decay, bound by feudal oaths and the Curse of Chivalry, a metaphysical chain that once upheld order, now splintered into tyranny and madness. And at the center of this unraveling stands a fallen king—Arthur, breaker of fate—whose descent from savior to scourge marks not merely the end of an age, but the beginning of the last: a Final Era where gods fail, stars dim, and the world itself prepares to be consumed by the truth it was built to deny.

THE FALL OF CHIVALRY

Now, the Round Table lies shattered. Knights are hunted as traitors. Oaths twist into chains, and honor is nothing more than a memory whispered by the dying. Only a scattered few still carry the burden of what it once meant to be noble. They will not survive.

Chivalry was never a virtue. It was a binding. A curse placed upon men to shape them into weapons of Providence.

PROVIDENCE

The fading light of order, destiny, and divine will. Providence is the binding force of creation, a golden thread that thins with every passing age. In the world of Nu, it is a memory of a time when gods spoke and the soil did not bleed.

DOOM

The inevitable decay of all things, the truth beneath creation. Doom is the hunger of the void, the cold realization that magic is not a gift—it is a debt. Every miracle performed in the name of Providence or Doom draws the world closer to its final, silent end.

COSMIC HORROR
WHAT WAITS BEYOND

Beyond the veil of reality, they wait.
The Dremnae, princes of the Void, press against existence itself, hungering for the light of creation.
Beneath the world, the Alverians stir once more. Nu'umans were never meant to rule.
They was meant to be harvested.

THE CURRENT AGE
THE FINAL ERA

The Final Era has begun. Armies march in the millions. Cities fall into the maw of endless war. The land itself rebels—forests scream, oceans churn, and the sky watches in silence.

One man seeks to burn the world. Another seeks to save what remains. Neither will escape what is coming.
